Saint Kevin Of Glendalough Embroidered Orthodox Icon - 5x7 Inch With Frame

About This Product

This Saint Kevin of Glendalough embroidered icon is absolutely beautiful and filled with meaning! Saint Kevin, born around 498 AD, was one of Ireland's most beloved saints who founded the famous monastic community at Glendalough. The story goes that he was so focused in prayer that a blackbird once laid eggs in his outstretched hand - which just shows his incredible patience and connection with nature. This 5x7 inch icon captures his gentle, spiritual nature through detailed machine embroidery that's both intricate and durable. The colors are rich and vibrant, making it a beautiful addition to any prayer corner, home altar, or wall display. What's really nice is that it comes with a frame included, so you can display it immediately without needing to shop for one separately. The craftsmanship is evident in the stitching details and the careful attention to traditional Orthodox iconography. This makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates Irish heritage, Christian spirituality, nature-inspired faith, or simply beautiful religious art. Saint Kevin's feast day on June 3rd celebrates his legacy of faith, humility, and care for creation - values that feel especially relevant today. Whether you're building your icon collection, looking for a meaningful gift, or wanting to add spiritual beauty to your home, this embroidered icon delivers both artistic quality and devotional significance. The size is perfect for smaller spaces while still making a visual impact, and the framed presentation gives it a finished, professional look. It's the kind of religious art that inspires quiet reflection and connects you to centuries of spiritual tradition in a very tangible, beautiful way.
