Handmade Viking Bearded Axe Head - 1095 Carbon Steel Camping & Hunting Axe Head Only (700g)

About This Product

Looking to build your own custom axe? This handmade Viking-style bearded axe head is absolutely beautiful and seriously functional. Made from 1095 carbon steel, this thing holds an edge incredibly well and has that rustic forged look that just screams quality craftsmanship. The 6-inch head length with a 4.75-inch blade gives you that classic bearded axe profile that's perfect for woodworking, camping, or even historical reenactments. At 700 grams, it's got enough weight to chop effectively but isn't so heavy that it's unwieldy. What we really love is the attention to detail - the edge comes sharpened and hardened right out of the box, while the body shows those authentic hammer marks from the forging process. The eye is properly sized to fit standard wooden handles, so you can easily haft this with your choice of wood. We've seen these turned into everything from bushcraft tools to display pieces, and the quality is consistently impressive. Whether you're an experienced bladesmith looking for a quality head to finish or someone wanting to create their first custom axe, this delivers that authentic Viking aesthetic with modern steel performance. Definitely a step up from mass-produced axe heads in terms of character and craftsmanship.
