BMW Transmission Neutral Switch 24357581602 - 6L45 6L45R Neutral Safety Switch For 1 Series 3 Series X3

About This Product

BMW owners with 6L45 transmissions - if you're having issues with your shifter or transmission not recognizing neutral properly, this neutral safety switch could be your solution. The part number 24357581602 is a direct replacement that works with 6L45 and 6L45R transmissions in various BMW models. The compatibility list is pretty extensive - it fits 1 Series E81/E87/E82/E88, 3 Series E90/E91/E92/E93, 5 Series E60, and X3 E83 models with the N52 2.5L or 3.0L engines from around 2006-2012. Installation is relatively straightforward if you're comfortable working around the transmission - you'll need to locate the switch on the transmission housing, disconnect the electrical connector, and swap the units. The build quality matches OEM specifications, so you're not getting some cheap knockoff that might fail prematurely. This switch is crucial for proper transmission operation - it tells your car when it's in neutral for starting safety and proper shift operation. When these go bad, you might experience issues with starting (only in park but not neutral), shifter position display problems, or transmission warning lights. The part comes brand new, not used or refurbished, and the construction feels durable. Much more affordable than buying from the dealership, and it solves the same problem. Just make sure to clear any fault codes after installation and test all shifter positions to verify proper operation. A reliable fix for a common issue on these BMW models.
